Fulse And Family "All In" For Auburn

Brandon Fulse

Auburn got a commitment from four-star Brandon Fulse on Thursday live on ESPNU.

Fort Meade, Fla.--When a prospect makes a decision on a school it's not about him because it impacts his entire family. Perhaps nobody gets affected as much as mom. The caretaker of the house and usually as close as anyone to a growing teenager, mom can take it hard when the growing child goes off to school.

For Brandon Fulse that's one of the things that could have made the decision to attend Auburn such a difficult one, after all there are several schools closer to is Central Florida location than Auburn. In the end however it was mom who said yes to the Tigers because she saw in the Tigers what her son saw.

"At first I wasn't feeling Auburn and I had to go up there and see it for myself," Dyeanna Clark said. "They really love him up there and really want him there. That is what won me over, how they took him in and accepted him there."

Recruiting is not an easy thing to go through for a family with phone calls and trips all over the Southeast for a player of Fulse's caliber. Because of that it can be trying on everyone involved by Clark said she's proud of the way he's handled such a unique time in all their lives.

"It has been real special," Clark said. "It's a good experience for him, for me, for the whole family, to see him do this. It has been a good thing.

"He has handled things very good and has been grown up about it," Clark added. "He has just been an adult about things. He's a good kid."

With the recruiting process just about behind them Fulse and his mom wait anxiously for Wednesday when he can officially sign at Fort Meade High with the Tigers. Right now it is tentatively scheduled for 2 p.m. central time and Clark said what was once an anxious time is now a time of celebration for the family.

"I'm real excited about him going to Auburn," Clark said. "I went up there for Big Cat Weekend and then we went to the Auburn-Georgia game. It's a nice place. It's a small community and like he's said he comes from a small community where everybody is friendly and everybody knows everybody. It's a real good place for him to go to school. I'm excited about that."
