Four-Star Tackle Likes Tigers

Patrick Miller

Dwyer's Patrick Miller talks about his visit to Auburn for Big Cat Weekend.

Palm Beach Gardens, Fla.--The nation's number 25 offensive tackle and a four-star prospect by Scout.com, Dwyer standout Patrick Miller fell in love with his first visit to Auburn and following a return trip for Big Cat Weekend he said nothing has changed on his feelings for the Tigers.

"I just still love Auburn and I'll definitely be back," Miller said. "I have the same thoughts after this visit. That's good to know that I wasn't just all hyped up after the first time. I feel happy and steady with Auburn."

Playing a position of need for the Tigers, Miller said following his first visit in March that one of the reasons he was so high on Auburn was because of line coach Jeff Grimes. He said following his trip for Big Cat Weekend that Grimes as well as the City of Auburn are two big reasons why he's looking so heavily at Auburn.

"I like how it's a small town," Miller said. "I like Coach (Jeff) Grimes. It's just the same stuff as last time. He's a cool guy and I could see myself playing for him.

"It was good," he added. "I had the same feelings as the first time. It's just a one of a kind place."

With Auburn at the top of his list for quite a while along with LSU and Florida, Miller was asked if his latest visit had put Coach Gene Chizik's team alone at the top.

"I wouldn't say that," Miller said. "I have a long season ahead of me. I have to weigh all my options and be smart about it. It's all up in the air. I don't keep track of my offers so I'm not sure how many I even have."

Something that is working in Auburn's favor is the relationship he's continuing to build with some of the players that were in for Big Cat Weekend including quarterback commitment Zeke Pike and Darrion Hutcherson as well as the Tigers' newest commitment Shane Callahan. Miller said getting a chance to play with those kinds of guys is something he thinks about all the time.

"They are cool," Miller said. "It would be nice to spend four years with a good group of guys and they are definitely a good group of guys. I would be pumped up to play with all these guys."
