Senior Keys 5-2 Opening Round Win Vs. Princeton
Auburn, Ala.--It had been a long time coming for Auburn senior pitcher Levale Speigner. Not since a game against Georgia Southern in Atlanta following his freshman season has he won a postseason game of any kind. That streak was officially put to bed Friday night in a 5-2 victory against Princeton in the 2003 NCAA Regionals as he gave up just six hits and two unearned runs in seven and one/third innings to pick up his 10th win of the season without a loss. The win moves Auburn (41-19) into the winner's bracket showdown with Ohio State (42-16), a 10-8 winner over #2 seed Clemson earlier in the day.
