Arizona Takes Out Tigers In Series Opener

Arizona scored five runs in the second inning and pitcher Kurt Heyer made it stand up in the 8-1 win over the Auburn Tigers.

Tucson, Ariz.—Arizona used a five-run second inning to take an early lead and never looked back on the way to an 8-1 win over the Auburn Tigers Friday night. Coach John Pawlowski's club left a total of 11 men on base in the loss and had at least one runner left on in all but two innings.
