Auburn sophomore offensive lineman Tunde Fariyike was named the starter for the season opener against Clemson by head coach Gene Chizik on Sunday even though he didn't know until speaking with reporters after practice. Studying to be a doctor and one of the most intelligent players on the Auburn roster, Fariyike said that when he got the first-team reps on Sunday it finally dawned on him that it may be his job.
"It really hit me today," Fariyike said. "This is it. This is my opportunity to really show what I can do. Everybody is looking at me. I've got to show up."
