Auburn Finalizes 2013 Football Schedule

Auburn opens the season at home against Washington State on Aug. 31 and then faces Arkansas State on Sept. 7.

Auburn, Ala.--Auburn's 2013 schedule has been finalized with the non-conference portion featuring a tough early start for the Tigers next season. Opening the season against Washington State from the Pac 12 on Aug. 31, Auburn's schedule doesn't get any easier the rest of the way.

In week two former Auburn offensive coordinator Gus Malzahn will return to the Plains as the Tigers host Arkansas State on Sept. 7 before beginning SEC play on Sept. 14 at home against Mississippi State. The Western Carolina game is slated for Oct. 12 with the Florida Atlantic game on Oct. 26.

The Tigers were originally slated to play Jacksonville State in 2013, however a scheduling conflict could not be resolved.

The 2013 SEC schedule includes home games against Mississippi State (Sept. 14), Ole Miss (Oct. 5), Georgia (Nov. 16) and Alabama (Nov. 30). Auburn's SEC road schedule will include games at LSU (Sept. 21), Texas A&M (Oct. 19), Arkansas (Nov. 2) and Tennessee (Nov. 9).

The 2013 season will include two open weeks as the Tigers will have open dates on Sept. 28 and Nov. 23.

Auburn's annual Spring Game, A-Day, will be held on April 20, 2013.
