Wednesday: East State Rankings
When five-star linebacker Reuben Foster made move to Alabama, he immediately became the too prospect in his state. He is one of the five-star prospects in Alabama and you can see the final Top 40 here.
A prospect that has been considered a D1 prospect for a few years by Scout is running back Altee Tenpenny. He has been a constant in the Scout100 this cycle and the Alabama commitment leads the way in Arkansas. You can see the Arkansas Top 10 here.
The deepest state in the southeast is Florida and the Sunshine State has another strong group of prospects in 2013. The running back position is very deep, but it is offensive tackle Laremy Tunsil who heads this bunch. Vernon Hargreaves and Matthew Thomas were also in discussion. See the final Florida Top 100 here.
Robert Nkemdiche is the top overall prospect in the country and he attends high school in the state of Georgia. The Peach State continues to get better and better and schools from coast to coast are recruiting this state now. See the final Top 75 in Georgia here.
Many prospects were talked about when finishing up the rankings for the state of Louisiana. Kendall Beckwith was the top prospect in the Bayou State much of this cycle, but after seeing senior tape of Tre'Davious White (LSU commitment) and watching him compete in San Antonio for a week as an Army All-American, he took the top spot. See the final Louisiana Top 40 here.
When talking prospects that really emerged this fall, five-star defensive end Chris Jones is one that has to be discussed. The Under Armour All-America selection really exploded onto the scene in recent months and he ended up being the No. 20 overall prospect in the country after starting the season as a three-star on Scout. Antonio Conner is now No. 2 in the state of Mississippi and you can see the final Top 30 here.
Some felt Marquez North would be the top prospect in the Tar Heel state this season after seeing what he did as a junior, but Greg Gilmore is the top prospect as this cycle comes to an end on Scout. The five-star defensive lineman is headed to LSU and you can see who follows him in the North Carolina Top 30 here.
The overall depth may not be there in the Palmetto State in 2013, but at the top, it is very strong. Michael Hill is an Ohio State commitment and he finished at No. 2 behind Georgia early enrollee Tramel Terry. See the South Carolina Top 25 here.
The state of Tennessee is strong in 2013 at the top. A number of prospects challenged to be No. 1 at some point in this cycle, but in the end, USC commitment Jalen Ramsey landed in that spot. After seeing Ramsey live over the summer against some of the best in the country, this five-star cornerback cemented himself as one of the best at his position. See the Tennessee Top 20 here.
