COLLEGE STATION, Texas - The
Texas A&M
men's basketball team is back in action on its home court Wednesday night when it welcomes
Ole Miss
to Reed Arena for a 6 p.m. contest.
The contest will be televised by CSS with Matt Stewart (play-by-play) and Stephen Howard (commentary) calling all the action.
The Aggies (14-9, 4-6 SEC) enter the contest after splitting a pair of games last week including a win over then-No. 20
Missouri
to claim their first victory over a ranked opponent since A&M defeated No. 24
Kansas State
on Jan. 22, 2011.
Junior guard
Fabyon Harris
continued his run of scoring consistency last week when he notched 17 points in both the win over Missouri and a loss at
Georgia
on Saturday. The Chicago native has reached a double-digit point total in 11 of the last 14 games to raise his scoring average during SEC play to 13.9 points per game.
Harris enters the week ranked eighth in scoring during SEC games, while teammate
Elston Turner
checks in at fifth with a 15.6 scoring average in league play.
On the interior, redshirt sophomore
Kourtney Roberson
continues his impressive comeback season after missing most of the 2011-12 campaign with a broken ankle. The Arcadia, La., native leads the Aggies with 157 rebounds this season and is coming off a career-best tying 12 boards at Georgia.
Ole Miss, meanwhile, comes to Aggieland with an 18-5 overall record and a 7-3 mark in SEC play that places the team third in the league standings. The Rebels, who won nine straight contests from Dec. 23 to Jan. 26, have lost three of their last four affairs, including a 98-79 setback at Missouri on Saturday.
Junior guard
Marshall Henderson
highlights the Rebel line-up and leads the SEC in scoring as the Hurst, Texas, native averages 19.9 points per contest. In the paint, senior
Murphy Holloway
contributes 14.7 points per contest while leading the conference in rebounding by averaging 9.7 boards per game.
The Rebels are directed by seventh-year head coach
Andy Kennedy
, who owns a 143-83 record during his tenure in Oxford.
