With a final group of Alabama, Auburn, Clemson, Florida, Tennessee, UCLA and USC, the physical middle linebacker has visited several of those already in his quest to learn as much as possible about his favorites.
Recently Hamilton made a return trip to Auburn to see Coach Gus Malzahn and the Tigers on Junior Day. It was his second visit to the Plains in the last month as he also was on hand for the Auburn-Arkansas basketball game in February. He says the second visit was big for him because it gave him a chance to sit down with Coach Ellis Johnson and talk defense.
"I really wanted to meet the new staff and sit down and talk with Coach Johnson and some of the other coaches," Johnson says. "It was a good step for me. I really like him. He's a real good coach and I thought highly of him. We connected. It was a good time meeting him face to face."
A 6-1, 225-pounder, Hamilton has over two dozen offers at the moment and is rated the #16 middle linebacker in the country by Scout.com. As a junior he finished with 101 tackles, 23 tackles for a loss, and four sacks.
