|The Opening: Sean White Update|
Sean White is on the short list of uncommitted quarterbacks at the Elite 11 and The Opening. He's been impressive so far and it's no surprise he's wanted by many and his offer list may keep growing. White hopes to make a decision this summer and has a handful of trips on the calendar.
"It's been awesome. It's been fun just coming out and I've been making some good friends with some other quarterbacks and just competing. They came out with the first rankings and I was number three. I want to get to number one, so that's the goal, so I'm just going to keep working and keep having fun," White said.
The 6-foot-3, 180-pound signal-caller has a handful of trips on his calendar after he gets back from Oregon.
"Wisconsin, I'm supposed to visit after I get home, and also Auburn and South Carolina I'm making visits to, and Cincinnati, and possibly West Virginia and Syracuse, those two aren't for sure," he said.
"I'm also going to make an Ivy League trip too, just to see what kind of opportunities they have."
Wisconsin, Auburn, and South Carolina have shown of interest but have yet to offer. Cincy, WVU, and Syracuse all have.
"(Wisconsin) hasn't (offered), they're waiting to get me up to campus and see what happens then, we'll see what happens. Same with Auburn and South Carolina," White said.
The University School (Fort Lauderdale, FL) standout hopes to have his decision in place by the end of summer, after his big road trip. Lots of recruiting has been going on amongst prospects in Oregon, but White says he hasn't been involved in too much of that.
"The receivers have been trying to go with me, that's a good feeling when they come up to me and they want me to throw them the ball. Most of them are uncommitted too, quarterbacks are usually the ones doing the recruiting," he said.
