Three-star power forward will choose from Auburn, Boston College, Miami (Ohio), Providence and WKU.

After receiving over 25 Division 1 scholarship offers, three-star power forward Justin Johnson has trimmed his list to just five schools.

His final choices include Auburn, Boston College, Miami (Ohio), Providence and WKU.

Johnson broke down each school on his list for

Auburn: "I think Auburn shocked a lot of people, they just offered me about two days ago. I've been talkin to em' since Peach Jam's been over. They've got a good history, Charles Barkley for example, I've always liked him. He does the same thing I do on the court. They're in the SEC, good conference, you get a chance to play some of the best programs in the nation."

Boston College: "Darryl Hicks went there, Kentucky native. They play in the ACC, so you get to go to Duke, North Carolina, some cool places to play. Coach Donahue and Coach Graham both do a really good job staying in contact. I like them a lot.

Miami: "Zach McCormick, one of my best friends just committed there. Great group of guys up there with the coaching staff, good fanbase, kinda close to home."

Providence: "Play in the Big East, they don't have football there so almost everything's about basketball there. Coach Cooley, he's the one that recruited me, the head coach there. He stays in touch with me and they've got Jalen Lindsey there, he's a big-time player."

Western Kentucky: "They've been there since Day 1. Coach Harper, Coach Boyden, Coach LB, Coach Forrest, they've all done a great job. I know everybody around there, just everything about them, moving to Conference USA really helped. I like what they're building there. My buddy Rob committed there today, we were texting about it, me and him could be roommates for four years there. He's probably gonna be in my wedding one day, great guy."

Johnson plans to take official visits to all five schools, but said he hasn't set any specific dates yet.

He hopes to have a schedule decided over the next two weeks.

The three-star power forward said assuming everything goes according to plan, he'll likely sign with a school during the NCAA's fall signing period.
