New interest in 2015 OL

New interest in 2015 OL

Overnight things change in recruiting. Levi Brown saw that earlier this week after leaving the Atlanta MVP Camp...

Levi Brown was on a few radars this time a week ago, but that has changed.

Brown is up to 6-foot-4, 277 pounds and the 2015 offensive lineman out of Franklin (Ga.) Heard County put on a show Sunday at the Atlanta MVP Camp.

Since leaving as the Top Performer, things have picked up.

"A lot of new coaches have followed me on Twitter and new schools are showing interest this week," said Brown. "I got invited to Georgia the Monday after the camp for their spring game Saturday too and I was not hearing from them before the camp. The interest has definitely picked up."

Just days before the camp, Brown was offered a scholarship by Elon. Auburn, Georgia, Georgia State, Georgia Tech, and Middle Tennessee among others are schools showing interest in the emerging junior.

If he continues to do what he did Sunday at the MVP Camp, more schools will show interest, and new offers will arrive.

He flat out dominated.

"I just showed up in the one-on-ones," said Brown. "The coaches were calling me out during the drills and complimenting my footwork, but I think I did the best in the one-on-ones.

"I thought I was doing well and I was hoping I would get the Top Offensive Lineman award. When I didn't get that, I was a little disappointed, but when my number was called for Top Overall Performer, I was shocked and humbled.

"I learned a lot at the camp, the competition level was high, and the coaches helped me a lot. I know it helped me."

Not only did his participation in the MVP Camp help Brown's game from a technical standpoint, but it has quickly helped him generate more buzz as a prospect.

He has one offer now, that list will grow.

Brown will be in Athens Saturday for UGA's spring game and he grew up in a house of divided fans. He actually grew up a fan of another school.

"It has always been all Alabama and Georgia fans in my house," said Brown. "I actually grew up liking Auburn though. As a kid, I liked orange and blue, so that is where it started. I started watching Auburn and I like their team, how fast they play, and their offense." Recommended Stories
