More Linebacker Help On The Way For Tigers
Leighton, Ala.--An early verbal commitment to the 2004 class Courtney Harden made it official on Wednesday at a ceremony at Colbert County High School when he signed his official letter of intent to play football for the Auburn Tigers. The 6-1, 207-pound linebacker with 4.6 speed chose the Tigers over Georgia and Mississippi State. A two-year starter at both linebacker and fullback, Harden, who has seen playing time since eighth grade, was only able to play seven games his senior season due to a torn ACL. He finished with 275 yards rushing and three touchdowns on 24 carries from his fullback position. He also had 33 solo tackles, three sacks, one interception and one fumble recovery at linebacker. Harden, who also runs track and plays basketball for the Indians, plans on getting an early start on his college career by heading to Auburn over the summer to begin taking classes and working out with the team.
