Former Tiger Earns LPGA Tour Card

Daytona Beach, Fla.--Former Auburn All-American golfer Diana Ramage qualified for the Ladies Professional Golf Association tour for the 2006 season on Sunday.

The Auburn graduate earned her card by finishing 11th overall at the qualifying school tournament with a one-under-par five day total of 74-75-73-68-69--359. She will be eligible to compete in all LPGA events.

Ramage led the Tigers to the 2005 SEC title and a third place finish at the NCAA Women's Golf Championships.

Two other former Tigers were also in the event and earned non-exempt cards, meaning they will be eligible to play in events that are not filled by exempt players. Celeste Troche shot 368 and Danielle Downey 370.

The field of 140 players was competing for 24 exempt cards and 35 non-exempt cards. The field includedf 63 players from the LPGA Sectional Qualifying Tournaments, 10 players from the Futures Tour money list and 67 current LPGA Tour members attempting to regain or improve their status.
