Hawthorne Working For Early Playing Time
Auburn, Ala.--Very few Auburn freshmen have the expectations coming into his first year that wide receiver Tim Hawthorne has on his shoulders. With the Tigers losing three receivers to the NFL after last year there is plenty of opportunity for playing time at the position with Courtney Taylor the only player back with starting experience. That means the physical Hawthorne has a chance to play early and often this season. At 6-3, 208 with good speed and hands, the Homewood native was one of the South's top receiver prospects as a senior.
