Auburn, Ala.--With injured senior tailback Kenny Irons on the shelf the whole game and Brad Lester out most of the contest, freshman Ben Tate stepped up with 156 rushing yards on 26 carries and a touchdown as Auburn outscored Tulane 38-13.
