What's been going on since you committed to Georgia?
A lot of schools have continued to recruit me. I tell everybody--even though I'm committed I'm not going to close the door on anybody. I'm still going to allow myself to get recruited and I'm going to take all of my visits.
Who is recruiting you from Georgia?
Rodney Garner. We text each other probably once or twice a week and I call him. He can't call me right now, but I call him just to check up. We're really cool and we bond a little bit.
How often do you talk with Will Muschamp?
I call him about once a week also. I talk to a lot of coaches. It's probably about two coaches a day that I call out of all the schools that are recruiting me.
Are they all recruiting you as a defensive end or do some want you as an outside linebacker?
Some at defensive end and some at outside linebacker--like a will or a bandit. A do a little of that in high school. I drop a little to cover the tight end and running backs.
Is your brother started to get a lot of attention as well?
Kentiorus is going to be very highly recruited. My brother's about 6-2, 180, a legit 4.5, a real physical safety. He reminds me of a young Brian Dawkins. He's getting a couple of letters from Georgia, Clemson, South Carolina. I wouldn't say a lot, but he's getting a little bit of interest and some letters.
Being a grade ahead, do you have any advice for him?
I just tell him to have fun. Enjoy the process and have fun.
Even though it can be a fun process, are there any negatives?
Sometimes you get tired of phone conversations, going everywhere meeting different people. You get tired of it sometimes, but I can deal with it.
Jackson was at standout at the two-day camp at Auburn on June 9th and 10th.
Do you ever feel pressured from coaches or anyone else to go to a certain school?
Sometimes I feel a little bit of pressure from schools. Some schools that I talk to just see how things are going with me and my family--stuff like that. Others just talk to me about coming to their schools. I feel like schools that know me as a person and I know them better, they've got the best chance of me going to their school.
What is it about Georgia right now that you like so much?
I just like how they're real family oriented. Coach Mark Richt is really a big family guy. He's really big on academics and he cares more about you as a person than as a player. That's what I like about him.
Have you thought about what you would like to major in once you get to college?
I was thinking about majoring in automotive technology or something in the engineering department.
When are you going to know which schools you are going to take an official visit to?
I've started but I don't have all five of them yet. I've got a clue. I'm going to try to get to Bama and Auburn games. Also I'm going to visit LSU and go to the Georgia/Auburn game.
