Toby Jackson may be committed to the University of Georgia but that hasn't prevented other schools…
Jackson Looking to Enjoy Weekend in Auburn
Griffin, Ga.--Defensive end Toby Jackson from Griffin (Ga.) High School is a well-traveled prospect who will be making his return to Auburn for his official visit. "I've been there for two camps and one game," Jackson says. "The Mississippi State game. I'm taking my official this weekend. I'm coming up to enjoy myself and the fun environment, hang out and enjoy the weekend. "I'll be there Friday afternoon," he adds. "I really don't know what coach (Hugh Nall) has lined up for me. He said he'll let me know whenever I get there." Jackson, making a trip to his second Auburn game this year, also went to Oklahoma State at Georgia, Miami at Florida State and LSU at Alabama. He was also planning a trip to Athens to see the Bulldogs and Tigers, but things didn't quite work out. "That was the same weekend I hurt my leg and I could barely walk on it so I didn't get a chance to go," he explains. "My season went real good, but I didn't get to play in the last game. I sprained my MCL in the game before so the game we got put out of the playoffs I didn't get to play." Griffin, the number two seed in Region 4 of AAAA, was knocked out of the playoffs in the opening round by Banneker. "I'm 100 percent now and I can run on it and cut on it and everything," Jackson says of his MCL, "it's just that it wasn't well at the time the game came. "Right now I'm just focused on finishing out good with my grades, working on my grades and trying to get my GPA where it's supposed to be. I'm also focused on working out and getting bigger and getting ready for the next level. " Jackson is shown at an Auburn camp over the summer. Aside from his visit to the Plains, Jackson has an official set for Miami on Dec. 17. He's also planning on taking an official at some point to Alabama. A one-time Georgia commitment, Jackson says his list is narrowed to Auburn, Georgia, Alabama, Florida State, LSU and Miami. As for which schools stand out right now, Jackson notes "I would say Alabama and Miami." Jackson and 11 other prospects are scheduled to take official visits to Auburn this weekend.
