Reggie Hunt Signs With Auburn

Reggie Hunt

Speedy Reggie Hunt signed his letter of intent on Wednesday.

Daphne, Ala.--One of Alabama's fastest players signed his name to the dotted line on Wednesday when running back Reggie Hunt made it official at a ceremony by signing with the Auburn Tigers.

Committing early in the process to Auburn over offers from Alabama, Oklahoma, Florida, Georgia, Purdue and several others. Perhaps the biggest challenge came from West Virginia at the last minute when Hunt took a visit to WVU along with teammate Coley White, but the visit wasn't enough to change his mind on Auburn.

With blazing speed and the ability to catch the ball out the backfield, the 5-9, 185 Hunt is a versatile player that should give new Auburn offensive coordinator Tony Franklin plenty of options as both a running back and even a slot receiver.

Injured much of his senior season with a high ankle sprain, Hunt still managed to rush for over 1,000 yards as he helped the Trojans to a berth in the quarterfinals in Class 6A. A two-year starter at tailback after playing defensive back as a sophomore, Hunt's speed makes him a player to watch down the road for the Tigers.
