Auburn, Ala.--Expected inclement weather in the Auburn area for Friday night and Saturday have forced the cancellation of Saturday's second spring football scrimmage.

Expected to have storms Friday night featuring rain possibly turning to snow with high temperatures for Saturday in the 40s with high winds, Coach Tommy Tuberville has decided to call of Saturday's football scrimmage.

With seven practices in the books out of the allotted 15 available for spring practice, Auburn will practice Friday afternoon and be off until Tuesday morning. The Tigers will practice Tuesday and Thursday of next week before taking a week off for spring break.

That will leave five practice days when the Tigers return to the practice field in the week leading up to the annual A-Day Game on March 29 at 1 p.m. at Jordan-Hare Stadium. Practices that week are scheduled for Sunday the 23rd, Tuesday the 25th and Friday the 28th. That will leave one practice day for after the spring game, although there is a chance that day could be added on Thursday the 27th now with the change in schedule.
