St. Simons Island, Ga.--Auburn continued its struggles at the SEC Men’s Golf Championships on Saturday, shooting a second straight 301 to drop from next to last to last in the 12-team competition.

Playing at the Frederica Golf Club, Auburn’s 602 total is 24 strokes off the pace set by Alabama. Georgia is second, three strokes out of the lead with a 578 total.

Auburn is two shots out of 11th place behind Arkansas.

Senior Jay Moseley shot a two-over-par 73 on Saturday and leads the Tigers at 148, which puts him in a tie for 26th individually.

Patton Kizzire shot a 74 on Saturday and is at 151. Glenn Northcutt shot a 76 and is at 152. Jamie Bowen’s 78 was the fourth score that counted for the Tigers and he is at 156 after two rounds. Gordon Strother’s 79 did not count in the team total.

“We just haven’t been able to put anything together on this golf course,” said coach Mike Griffin. “We need to go out in the final round and try to turn things around to give us momentum going into the NCAA Regional.”
