There's a quarterback drama going on. You might have heard about it....maybe. But that doesn't mean…
Talented QB Loves Visit To Auburn
One of the top quarterback prospects in the country made a visit to Auburn on Saturday for a one-day senior camp and came away impressed by what he saw out of the program. Talented signal caller Ryan Mossakowski from Centennial High in Frisco, Texas says his camp experience was a very good one and gives him a good feeling about the Tigers. "The camp went really well," Mossakowski tells Inside The Auburn Tigers. "There were a lot of great athletes and a lot of great quarterbacks. I really enjoyed it. There were a lot of good receivers. It was a good camp for everybody." A 6-4, 203-pounder with a lightning-quick release and a strong arm, Mossakowski runs the Tony Franklin offensive system in high school and has a long relationship with Auburn's offensive coordinator. He says because of that it gave him a chance to blend in quickly during the camp and also get an even better feel for Franklin's style of coaching. "I haven't been to a camp with him for quite a while," Mossakowski says. "I really enjoyed him coaching me up. He doesn't treat me special at all, I'm just like everyone else. That's what is cool about him. He's just a great coach. What he does and his philosophy is just phenomenal. "It's very comfortable for me," he adds. "Knowing all this hard work is starting to pay off a little bit is nice. It's a good feeling when he starts calling out routes and everyone is like ‘what am I doing?'. I can tell them what they are running. It gives me another chance to expand on my leadership abilities." Mossakowski loads up to throw the deep ball. The quarterback had a great day in one-on-one drills Saturday. With several dozen offers including Auburn, Alabama, Arizona, Clemson, Kansas, Nebraska, Texas A&M and others, Mossakowski has his choice from among some of the top schools in the country. He says that one thing he's sure of is that Auburn will continue to be a school on his radar as he begins to narrow down his list heading into his senior year. "I'm going to Louisville for a camp on Sunday and then to Kentucky for an unofficial visit on Monday," Mossakowski says. "Then next week I'm going to narrow it down to a top five. Right now I'm at right around 10 schools. I do believe Auburn will be in the top five. "I love Auburn," he adds. "This was my second visit so far. I came to the spring game. I really enjoyed that. It was my first camp at Auburn and I really enjoyed all the coaches, not just coach Franklin. It was a good visit. It's a beautiful place and a beautiful campus and I really enjoyed it." As a junior Mossakowski had 3,029 yards passing with 19 touchdowns and 13 interceptions. He completed 264 of 462 passes (57 percent) and also gained 227 yards on 71 rushes for seven additional scores.
