Auburn, Ala.--DeWanna Bonner has been selected to the USBWA All-America team and the Associated Press All-America second team following her senior season for the Tigers.
The 6-4 Auburn guard/forward from Fairfield was previously named SEC Player of the Year and was a first team All-America pick by ESPN.com.
First team AP picks include Oklahoma senior Courtney Paris, Connecticut sophomore Maya Moore, Louisville senior Angel McCoughtry, Maryland senior Kristi Toliver and Connecticut senior Renee Montgomery.
Second team selections include junior Jayne Appel of Stanford, senior Marissa Coleman of Maryland, sophomore Jantel Lavender of Ohio State and junior Tina Charles of Connecticut.
The United States Basketball Writers Association named Bonner to its All-America team announced on Wednesday. Joining the Auburn senior on the All- team are Stanford's Jayne Appel, Duke's Chante Black, Maryland's Marissa Coleman. Ohio State's Jantel Lavender, Louisville's Angel McCoughtry, UConn's Renee Montgomery, UConn's Maya Moore, Oklahoma's Courtney Paris, Maryland's Kristi Toliver and Cal's Ashley Walke
Bonner was the SEC’s leading scorer at 21.1 points per game and set a school career record with 2,162 points. Her team won the SEC regular season title and posted a 30-4 record.
Korvotney Barber earned second team All-SEC honors as a senior.
Another Auburn basketball player, Korvotney Barber from the men's team, has been selected for the 2009 Hershey's College All-Star game that will be played as part of Final Four Friday at Ford Field in Detroit at 3:30 p.m. CDT. The game will be televised on CBS College Sports.
