Selma, Ala.--Jai Miller says he has made a decision on his college choice, but will wait until Monday to announce it.
The 6-4, 192-pound high school quarterback and defensive back has narrowed his list of colleges he is considering to three schools--Auburn, Alabama and Stanford.
“It is going to be at the gymnasium at the high school at 4 p.m.,” Miller says of his announcement. A year ago, his former teammate, wide receiver Ben Obomanu, announced his college choice in front of a big crowd at the Selma High School gym and picked Auburn over LSU, Notre Dame, Alabama and Florida. That turned out to be a major event with a singer, the school band and much pomp and circumstance.
Miller’s announcement is expected to be more low key. “I am not even sure what we are going to do,” he says. “I am just going to go along with the flow, I guess.”
Miller projects as a defensive back or wide receiver at the college level. He also wants to play basketball in college, too, and is a guard in that sport. In addition, he is also one of the best high school baseball players in west central Alabama.
