Sigler Talks About Auburn Visit, Recruiting
Mobile, Ala.--The Mobile area is normally a hotbed for football prospects and the 2011 class looks to be another good year for players. One of the guys making a lot of noise early is defensive end Devaunte Sigler from B.C. Rain High. A physical freak at 6-2, 249 and speed in the 4.6 range, Sigler made a visit to Auburn on Friday along with Blount standouts Antonio Marsh and Carl Binder. He said things went smoothly for him as he got a chance to check out the Tigers in person. "Everything went good," Sigler said. "I got to spend some time in the office with the coaches. I got to meet a lot of different coaches. They talked to me about my grades and they want me to come there. "I really like the place," he added. "It's a nice facility, a nice environment. I like the people there. They are real nice to you. Auburn is definitely going to be one of my choices." Currently being recruited by Auburn, Alabama, Southern Miss, UAB and a host of other schools, Sigler said he's still waiting on his first offer but believes it could be coming soon from the Tigers. "They told me in a couple of weeks after they've evaluated everything that I should expect an offer from them," Sigler said. Playing defensive end in 2009, Sigler had a huge year for B.C. Rain. He finished with 80 tackles and nine sacks on the defensive side of the ball and didn't play any offense. With the attention beginning to mount, Sigler said when the time comes to make a decision he's got certain things he'll be looking for in a school to make his final choice. "Really what I'm looking for is just a good school with a good environment where I can get my education," Sigler said. "I'm hoping to minor in Business Management and major in Physical Therapy."
