Blount's Marsh Talks About Auburn Visit
Prichard, Ala.--A player who is getting a lot of early interest took an unofficial visit to Auburn on Friday and says the Tigers are definitely a team he wants to hear more from in the coming months. Blount outside linebacker/defensive end Antonio Marsh came up with teammate Carl Binder and B.C. Rain standout Devaunte Sigler to check out the Tigers and left impressed by what he saw. "I had a great visit up there checking out the campus," the 6-2, 205 Marsh says. "I just wanted to see how the facilities are. I wanted to take the time to look at it and it's awesome. If they offer me I would commit. They showed me around and made me feel at home. I love the campus." After making a visit to Auburn, Marsh says the Tigers have made a significant jump on his list of schools as he prepares to head into the summer before his senior season. "At first they were in my number three spot and now they are number two," Marsh says. "Alabama is number one, but I haven't heard much from them lately." A teammate of Auburn freshman linebacker Jonathan Evans while at Blount, Marsh says he gets plenty of talk about the Tigers from his friend. "He's told me how their workouts are," Marsh says. "He said they mostly work on the lower body. That would be good for me. If I go up there I would be good." Currently with written offers from South Alabama and Grambling and a verbal offer from South Carolina, Marsh says he plans to be back in the summer to try to earn an offer from Auburn. "They just told me they want to see me at camp," he notes. "They said they're going to be recruiting me. We're going to see what happens." As a junior Marsh recorded 50 tackles and added four sacks, seven tackles for a loss, four quarterback hurries, one interception, a forced fumble and a fumble recovery.
