Auburn the Leader for Big Cat Visitor

Defensive lineman Keymiya Harrell talks about his visit to check out the Auburn Tigers.

Plantersville, Ala.--One of the top defensive end prospects in the state of Alabama, Keymiya Harrell, now has Auburn alone at the top of his list of possible college destinations following Saturday's Big Cat Weekend visit.

After a day of games and competitions with fellow 2011 recruits, the Dallas County High standout tells Inside the Auburn Tigers, "As of right now, Auburn is on top of the list. I can say that Auburn is at the top."

Harrell notes that he has scholarship offers from colleges throughout the Southeast including Auburn, Alabama, Mississippi State and Tennessee.

Commenting on his Big Cat Weekend experience, the 6-3, 235-pound Harrell says, "We just had fun and got a chance to know the other players and just bond with each other. We got a chance to get to know the coaches not just talk about football, and just have fun."

Big Cat Weekend is filled with friendly, non-football related competition between the recruits, and Harrell competed in many of the events, with his team finishing the day in second place.

"We just had fun inside and went to the gym and played a lot of games," he says. "We had a pie-eating contest, we had to trap an M&M to a straw and carry it to the next bowl--just a lot of crazy games. It was real fun though. It was competitions and we were grouped up with teammates. I won a few of them."

Big Cat Weekend will not be the last time that Harrell is in Auburn prior to his senior season. He plans on returning to visit for a football camp at some point later this summer.
