A member of the College Football Hall of Fame, Dye was an All-American player at Georgia and head coach at East Carolina and Wyoming in addition to Auburn.
Dye was head coach at Auburn from 1981 through 1992 and led the Tigers to four SEC championships and coached numerous All-SEC and All-American players including one of the top performers in college football history, 1985 Heisman Trophy winner Bo Jackson.
Dye’s teams were known for their intensity and hard-nosed style of play and the coach himself has a reputation for being direct and to the point about taking stands on a variety of subjects concerning the sport he loves.

On Thursdays Dye, who is a member of the Master Coaches Top 25 poll, will give his picks on the winners and losers for every SEC team and every Top 25 matchup.
