The Auburn Tigers have commitments from quarterback DeRon Furr and wide receiver Jarmon Fortson of Carver Columbus (Ga.). The two players helped lead a furious comeback in the Georgia Dome on Friday with some amazing plays. ScoutTV was there to bring you the action.
Carver Columbus was in deep trouble, trailing 24-6 with six minutes remaining in
the game, when Auburn commitments DeRon Furr at quarterback and Jarmon Fortson
at wide receiver helped take over the game. Carver ran off 20 consecutive points
to win 26-24.
It was the combination of Furr to Fortson that was too much for Chamblee to
handle as the two hooked up eight times for 222 yards and two touchdowns.
Furr hurt Chamblee with his arm and his legs. He rushed finished just shy of 300
yards passing and had 73 yards rushing (a 93 yarder was called back).
Fortson made acrobatic catch after acrobatic catch. He was literally unstoppable
Friday afternoon as Carver advanced to the State Championship game against
Cairo.
ScoutTV was there to bring you the action as Furr to Fortson was a winning
combination on Friday, and it's a combination that Auburn Tiger fans should be
extrememly excited about seeing for years to come.
