SEC Honors Auburn Football Players

A pair of Auburn football players have been honored for the 2008 season.

Auburn, Ala.--Auburn junior defensive end Antonio Coleman was selected to the Associated Press All-SEC first team announced on Monday.

Despite playing with injuries much of the season, Coleman made 46 tackles with six quarterback sacks and 10 1/2 tackles for lost yardage. Coleman also was credited with 13 quarterback hurries.

Fellow junior defensive lineman Sen’Derrick Marks, a preseason All-American, was named honorable mention All-SEC.

Marks, who was plagued by sprains to each ankle during the season, finished the Tigers’ 5-7 campaign with 32 tackles, including 15 solos. He was credited with 10 tackles for lost yardage including two sacks. Marks deflected two passes, blocked a field goal and was credited with two QB hurries.
