The Arizona Cardinals signed Roderick Hood to a five-year deal on March 10, 2007 as an unrestricted free agent. He originally, signed with the Philadelphia Eagles as an undrafted rookie free agent in 2003.

Hood tied Antrel Rolle for a team-high and career-high five interceptions in his first year with the Cardinals. Hood delivered two of the picks to a touchdown. He posted 57 tackles and started in all 16 games.
In Philadelphia
Hood never started in more than six games and appeared in all 16 matchups twice in his four-year stint with the Eagles. Hood's best year with the Eagles was in 2005 when he recorded 42 tackles and three interceptions.
