How Acquired: Undrafted free agent signed by the Vikings following the 2004 draft.
Injury History: Missed six games in 2005 in a pair of three-game stretches (Oct. 16-Oct. 30 and Nov. 13-Nov. 27) with a sprained right MCL. Placed on injured reserve for the final two games of the 2006 season with a combination of knee and ankle injuries.

2006: Played in 14 games and was credited with 19 tackles (12 solo), 15 quarterback hurries and three tackles for a loss. Became a regular in the defensive tackle rotation when Pat or Kevin Williams needed a play off. Had his game of the year in a road win at Seattle when he was credited with five QB hurries after the Vikings went after Seneca Wallace – who replaced an injured Matt Hasselbeck. Has four tackles in two games – Nov. 5 vs. Seattle and Dec. 17 vs. the Jets.
2005: Played in 10 games, starting two – at nose tackle Sept. 18 vs. Cincinnati and Oct. 2 vs. Atlanta at left defensive end. Missed six games during October and November with a sprained right MCL. Finished the season with 29 tackles.
2004: Came onto the Vikings scene as a rookie free agent and parlayed that into starting the final seven games of the regular season at defensive tackle, a rookie record for undrafted Vikings defensive linemen. Lined up alongside Kevin Williams. Finished the season with 54 tackles. Played in only nine games, but usurped Chris Hovan’s starting spot just past the midway mark of the season.
College: A three-year starter at Auburn who had 4.5 sacks as a senior. Played as a true freshman and made some Freshman All-America teams. Made a key play as a freshman in the SEC Championship Game, getting a 21-yard sack on Florida quarterback Rex Grossman. Earned his degree in sociology in December 2003.
Personal: A high school standout whose team won a pair of Class 2A state championships. Was a second-team all-state basketball player as a senior. Has taken to his Minnesota surroundings and has become avid hunter and fisherman in his off time. While in high school, he played on the same team with 10 of his cousins.
