Reed added to Mackey Award watch list

Florida redshirt junior tight end Jordan Reed was named one of 25 players to the John Mackey Award Midseason Watch List on Monday. In his fourth season on campus and second straight season at tight end, Reed has become a top target on the Florida offense.

Jordan Reed has 21 receptions for 237 yards and one touchdown this season. He also is tied for 14th in the SEC with 3.5 receptions per game. Eleven of Reed's receptions have resulted in a first down, and 12 of them have gone for 10 or more yards.

Arkansas senior Chris Gragg, Mississippi State senior Marcus Green and Tennessee senior Mychal Rivera were the only three other SEC tight ends named to the list.

The award is given to the best tight end in the country, and the winner is announced at The Home Depot College Football Awards Red Carpet Show on December 6. Recommended Stories
