Three new schools are beginning to enter the picture in Malcolm's recruitment. "I am starting to hear from Auburn, Ole Miss, and Vanderbilt." Buggs has been invited to and will attend camps at Auburn and Vanderbilt.
Georgia Tech is another school that remains high on Malcolm's list. Buggs has stayed in close touch with defensive line coach Mike Pelton and he has also talked to defensive coordinator Ted Roof and linebacker coach Andy McCollum. "We make sure we stay in contact with one another as much as we can."
Buggs remains one of Tech's top targets in the secondary. "They see me coming in and possibly playing special teams as a freshman to get used to the speed of the game and then I could play some nickel and dime packages as I get more and more experience."
The Tech coaches and Buggs have talked about committing but Buggs wants to be 100% sure before he decides to give a school his verbal commitment. "I do know Georgia Tech is near the top and I really like them a lot. I could see myself playing there."
Malcolm will be making a return visit to Georgia Tech this summer. "I will go over and take a tour of the campus again, get to know players and coaches better, and see everything I can."
A date for announcing his school choice has already been decided by Malcolm. "The Wednesday before my first game of my senior year is when I will announce my decision." Buggs wants to go through his senior year without distractions and he feels that would be the best time to announce his decision.
