Robinson Declares For NFL Draft

Standout offensive tackle Greg Robinson has declared for the NFL Draft following a dominant 2013 season.

A key cog in Auburn's dominant running attack that led the nation this season, redshirt sophomore Greg Robinson announced on Tuesday that he will enter the NFL Draft.

"This was a tough decision but I have decided to declare for the NFL Draft," Robinson announced on Tuesday. "I want to thank my teammates and I love them all. Also thank you Auburn Family the best fans in college football."

A powerful run blocker that has the agility and quickness to excel on the next level at the tackle position, Robinson started the last two seasons for the Tigers at left tackle after sitting out the 2011 season.

Recruited by Coach Gus Malzahn and playing for him this season, Robinson has skyrocketed up the draft boards as teams took a closer look at the Louisiana native. Malzahn said he's excited to see what the future holds for Robinson moving forward.

"Greg played a big part in our success this season and I appreciate everything he did as an Auburn Tiger during his career," Malzahn said. "He has a bright future ahead of him at the next level and we wish him nothing but the best."

With Robinson gone the Tigers have a pair of experienced tackles returning in 2013 starter Avery Young and 2012 starter Patrick Miller. Also top reserve Shon Coleman is expected to challenge for the spot when the Tigers open spring practice.
